We’ve been taught in the schools that “India was and India is an agrarian economy because 70% of the Indian population is into agriculture as their prime occupation.” – We were taught wrong. That was a view point from 40,000 feet. That was a view point of those who never got related to Indian culture. So what was the reality?
The reality was – India was a cow based economy. Every house hold used to have a cow. Cow gave birth to the bull, who used to plough the field, irrigate the farm, grind & crush the food grains and even extract oil out of the seeds. Cow dung was the manure, cow urine was the pesticide and insecticide as well. Cow milk was one complete meal and a balanced diet with all minerals & vitamins. Bottom line is – if you had a cow in the home, it could take care of the family, and it resulted into making agriculture into a zero investment occupation.
So what was agriculture? It was a rural gym. It was an activity done by most of the males to stay fit and healthy. It was a zero investment occupation of being engaged. British came with an idea of cash crop, just about 300 years back and the scenario got changed. Thus it was a cow based economy, and not an agrarian economy.
Our mission is to go back to the roots. Make India, a country of abundance and prosperity. Bring back the self–reliance and self–sufficiency to the village economy and reinstate the system where rural was the producer and urban was the market place
We take technology & the best practices from urban to rural and help the rural in producing more (yield and quality) to fulfill the demand of the urban, but all in harmony with the nature – the Indian way of development.
We are on a mission to restore the purity of water, air and soil, resulting in to a chemical free raw food industry of agriculture, dairy, fishery, poultry and livestock farming (goat farming, piggery, & sheep farming and so on). Thus eventually making the food chain, chemical free. We help people to go organic and eco-friendly.
We help the rural farmers to earn more, grow more and live a life of abundance without leaving the village. We also help them with various livelihood schemes by training them in our foundation’s (TGHF) skill development Centres and also patch them with the agencies who would buy their produce
